A member of the media team in the ministry, Ruba Falah, told {Euphrates News}, "The citizens' failure to adhere to the preventive measures and also the failure to take the vaccine leads to an increase in the number of cases of the epidemic. .
"In general, the situation depends on commitment," she added, noting that "at the beginning of July, the quantities of the vaccine will double from the current quantities to vaccinate the largest number of citizens, and we hope that the demand for them will increase."
Falah indicated that "the Ministry of Health has developed a plan to expand the centers for dispensing the vaccine to facilitate the vaccination process, and each according to his place of residence to reduce the momentum on hospitals," noting that "the proportions of recipients of the vaccine, although the numbers are good compared to the previous period, but still not at the level of ambition."
And she continued, "With regard to the decisions of the partial curfew, reducing it or imposing a comprehensive ban, all of the prerogatives of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety, and it is the one who decides that."
Falah noted that "it is still too early to assess the epidemiological situation, with the number of existing infections ranging from 4 thousand to 5 thousand daily, and this is evidence that the virus and danger still exist, and we need a long time to assess the epidemiological situation in general."
She stressed, "We need a vaccination rate of more than 60% of the community to reach community immunity, after which it is possible to reduce the procedures imposed on the citizen and return life to normal as it was."
She explained that "facilitating the process of taking the vaccine and vaccinating the largest number of citizens will break the chain of the epidemic's spread and spread and prevent the entry of any other strains and mutations into the country."
