Turkmen leader complained, on Tuesday, of “marginalization” affecting his component for the fifth time as a third component of the Iraqi people after being deprived of the position of second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Turkmen leader and former MP, Akram Fawzi Tarazi, said in a statement to / the information /, that "the third Turkmen component was subjected to genocide during the ISIS war and defended with its brothers from the rest of the components from Iraq and provided many victims through the war of liberation," noting that "the Turkmen component unfortunately was executed." Marginalizing him for the fifth time by not giving him his national and societal entitlement.”
Tarazi added that “granting the Turkmen the position of Parliament Rapporteur is not commensurate with the size of the component, and that his real entitlement is the position of second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives,” calling for “political forces to do justice to the component by granting him the positions of Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.”
The House of Representatives voted to choose Muhammad al-Halbousi as speaker, Hakim al-Zamli as first deputy, and Shakhwan Abdullah as second deputy, in a controversial session that saw its legitimacy challenged by more than one political party. finished/25pm
