    Information / Basra …
The representative of Basra Governorate, Rafiq Al-Salihi, confirmed today, Wednesday, that neglect, negligence and poor planning have ravaged the richest oil cities in Iraq, noting that the Zubair district in Basra governorate represents the backbone of oil production in Iraq.
Al-Salihi said, in a statement to the “Information” agency, that “Al-Zubayr district in Basra governorate is one of the richest oil cities in Iraq, with a production rate of 70% of oil. However, the service and health reality in the city is witnessing a terrible decline due to mismanagement and deliberate negligence over the years.” past”.
He added, "Al-Zubayr district, since 2003 until now, has been suffering from marginalization and government exclusion, as there are no new urban projects in the city in light of regional expansion and a significant increase in population numbers."
Al-Salihi pointed out that "the people of Al-Zubayr district went out two days ago with large-scale demonstrations, during which they cut the main bridge in the city, in protest against the poor service and health reality, which began to increase day by day."
Al-Salihi pointed out that “one of the ministerial projects that was allocated to the Zubair district in 2013, and despite the passage of eight years, only 30% of it has been completed,” noting that “the Ministry of Planning bears the bulk of the negligence and neglect towards the richest oil cities in Iraq.”
At the time of the race, dozens of demonstrators in Al-Zubayr district, affiliated to Basra Governorate, staged popular protests against poor services in the district. End / 25 BC
