    The head of the Investment Authority, Suha Al-Najjar, warned, on Wednesday, citizens against buying apartments in the Basmaya complex from brokers, while revealing new details about the contract.
    Al-Najjar said in a press conference, which was followed by the "Information" agency, that "there are brokers and traders who take advantage of the supply of units and sell them at higher prices to citizens."
    She indicated, "The completed percentage of the Basmaya project is less than the expenses paid," noting that "the one responsible for the failure to complete the project is borne by the beneficiaries."
    Al-Najjar added, "We need about 4 billion dollars to complete the Basmaya project," noting "the insistence on completing the project and correcting the mistakes that it faced previously."
    She pointed out, "obtaining a decision from the Council of Ministers to facilitate the payments of Basmaya apartments," explaining that "only 30% of the residents in the units are committed to paying the financial obligations."
    And she added, "13,000 new housing units will be completed during the next two years," warning "against buying apartments through brokers."
    Al-Najjar explained that "the work of Hanwha Company in Basmaya stopped due to the termination of the contract term and the Investment Authority stopped paying," pointing out that "we will end the cooperation with Iraqna Services Company after the end of the contract."
    The head of the Investment Authority noted that "the Basmaya Expressway will be implemented by the Ministry of Construction and Housing." Ended / 25 BC
