    launched today, Sunday, the work of the Industrial Forum to promote markets and businesses in Erbil Governorate.
    The forum was attended by the President of the Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, and a large number of ministers, officials and businessmen in the Kurdistan Region.
    The forum is organized in coordination between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Investment Authority of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, with the aim of upgrading the industrial sector and creating more job opportunities for young people, according to those in charge of it.
    Barzani said during the opening of the forum, which was attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I thank the organizers of the forum and hope that its results will affect the economic sector and provide job opportunities. Many projects since then, and our goal is to build the foundations and a strong economic infrastructure in the Kurdistan region."
    He added, "Unfortunately, after the formation of this government, the region, Iraq and the world were exposed to several health and financial crises and a drop in oil prices as well, and these crises were challenges and a big problem for us and all countries of the world, and despite that we were continuing to provide services and strategic projects and did not stop."
    He continued, "During this current government, we have implemented and completed several important and strategic projects in the Kurdistan Region, such as constructing roads and industrial cities and developing the electricity, agriculture and tourism sectors. We have completed projects and others underway."
    Barzani stressed that "the regional government continues to support young people and their small industrial, commercial and creative projects and the concerned authorities to provide them with all facilities to develop the industrial sector. During our visit to several countries, we were working to create an environment for trade exchange and support the local industry to provide job opportunities for our youth."
    He stressed, "We have specific and big plans for all industrial sectors in the region, but in order for all these projects and plans to be implemented, political stability must be available in Iraq and the relationship between the regional government and the federal government will be strengthened.
