A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Mahmoud Khoshnaw, confirmed, on Saturday, that the Patriotic Union is still a key link in the negotiations to form a government.
Khoshnaw said in an interview with "Al-Maalouma" agency, "The National Union was with the formation of a government of national consensus, because it is the basis for the country's exit from the state of obstruction that took place after the elections."
He added, "The Presidency of the Republic is an entitlement to the National Union, and we are working silently and there are political negotiations to resolve the matter."
Political parties had confirmed that the National Union had been excluded from the negotiations to form a government after recent contacts and meetings.
