Airlines began operations for air freight cargo in Iraq
BAGHDAD / ... embarked on Iraqi Airways, on Sunday, air cargo operations on the merchandise in accordance with the common operating system with local companies and Iraqi air freight concessions to private sector companies.
The director of the airline, Captain Saad al-Khafaji said in a statement received "eye Iraq News" copy of "The company last week began running three planes dedicated to air cargo from Baghdad International Airport, depending on the operating system joint venture with one of the companies in Iraq."
He revealed Khafaji about "the intention to conduct similar flights from airports in Basra and Najaf international in the coming days, pointing to the granting of privileges to run air freight companies to the private sector to start co-operating with his company, saying granting priority to the competent ones."
He explained that the "Iraqi Airways has prepared a plan to activate this sector in coordination with the General Administration of Customs, in addition to the states that goods shipped them, to ensure the smooth flow of air cargo operation in accordance with the laws and regulations adopted internationally."
