ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Iraqi Ministry of Transport announced on Saturday that it had obtained all approvals to resume flights between Iraq and China by adopting new instructions.
The ministry said in a statement that "all fundamentalist approvals were obtained to resume flights between Iraq and China ... by agreeing to implement all health conditions approved by the two countries to ensure the safety of travelers and the instructions and conditions required by the Chinese health authorities."
The ministry also affirmed, "adopting new contexts in Iraqi travel to China, allocating part of the flight seats for Iraqi travelers who have obtained visas and fundamentalist approvals to enter Chinese territory, and allocating a direct weekly flight as a first stage."
In its statement, the ministry indicated that work is underway "to resume air cargo and cargo flights because of their wide importance in increasing the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and China."
