Shafaq News/ The head of the Sabean-Mandaean bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Osama Al-Badri, sent on Wednesday a message to the three presidencies and public opinion, regarding the marginalization of the Mandaean component and their deprivation of participation in the state administration, like the people of the other components.
Al-Badri said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that it was confirmed to us and to the Iraqi and international public opinion, that "the principle of balance that all influential political forces are talking about is nothing but ink on paper, and it is not true, and the evidence for this is that the Mandaean component is deprived of the simplest ( Citizenship rights); we have no representation in the government, nor in the presidency, nor in the diplomatic corps.
He added that "the Mandaeans, who have academic and professional qualifications and cadres in various disciplines, with well-known distinction, honesty, sincerity and dedication - were not assigned a minister, nor an undersecretary, nor a director general in the Iraqi ministries, nor an ambassador, nor an advisor to the President of the Republic, or the Prime Minister, although the Prime Minister The late Republic, Jalal Talabani, stressed the need for an advisor from the Mandaean component, but his order has not been implemented for this moment.
