    A group of peasants in the province of Halabja province of Kurdistan on Monday a protest against the non-payment of their dues from the federal government in Baghdad, waving to sue Prime Minister Haidar Abadi for his failure to implement his promises and violation of the law in this regard.
    "If Abadi admits that we are Iraqis, he will pay our financial dues," said spokesman Ribuar Hama Salih in a statement read to reporters.
    He added that "in the case of not paying slaves to our entitlements, we will resort to the law and file a lawsuit against him," calling on farmers to organize a "big demonstration" in Sulaymaniyah to protest against the non-payment of dues.
