    The Ministry of Communications addressed today, Tuesday, the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, with a request to raise the tax imposed on phone recharge cards.


    The Minister of Communications, Hayam Al-Yasiri, said in a document issued by her and sent to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, "We hope that the issue of abolishing the mobile phone recharge card tax will be presented in the nearest session of the Council of Ministers, in order to include it when preparing the draft federal budget law for the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url]."

    And the Minister of Communications, Hayam Al-Yasiri, announced earlier that she had adopted a reduction in the prices of mobile phone cards, while confirming that she had prepared a comprehensive study to restore the prices of cards to what they were previously.

    Al-Yasiri said, "This file will be presented in the nearest session[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]And include it in the 2023 budget before the House of Representatives votes on it,” stressing “the importance of supporting the legislative authority for this file.”
     
    She added that she was "honored to adopt a reduction in the prices of mobile phone cards, especially with the government's tendency to support the poor classes."
     
    She also indicated, "The House of Representatives is determined to abolish the recharge card tax," stressing the need to present it to the[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]for the purpose of voting to include its cancellation in the 2023 budget.
