Shafaq News/ Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi said, on Saturday, that the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar will return to normal.
Al-Halbousi said, in a tweet seen by Shafaq News Agency, "It is not the first time that exchange rates have witnessed changes accompanying legal and regulatory measures of the Central Bank that are consistent with international requirements and monetary policies aimed at regulating the movement of foreign exchange and preventing smuggling of hard currency."

He added, "There is no concern or fear, according to the positive indicators of the Iraqi economy, and in light of the growing cash reserves and the level of achieved revenues that are the highest compared to previous years, the exchange rate will return to its normal state in conjunction with the tight procedures of the Central Bank and the government's supportive efforts to control circulation, prevent manipulation and smuggling, and maintain its stability." ..
