The "Iraq Future" Foundation concerned with economic affairs confirmed today, Saturday, that the decline in the exchange rate of the dollar in the local market will not happen soon.
The head of the institution, Manar Al-Obeidi, told (Baghdad Today) that “the main exchange exchanges in most cities in Iraq are closed today, and tomorrow, according to the sales of the Central Bank of Iraq, and the new procedures that he announced will show the exchange rate, especially since the exchange rate is low.” It won't be soon, but it will take about two months."
Al-Obaidi said, “The exchange rate of the dollar in the local market will not decrease rapidly and significantly, especially as we are approaching the month of Ramadan. During these two months, the demand for conversion increases and it is expected that it will maintain this rate until after Ramadan, unless easier measures are taken during this period.” .
