A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Ahmed Al-Watifi, affirmed that the committee continues its meetings in order to resolve a set of laws and proposals that affect the life of the citizen, pointing to the importance of resolving retirement and health insurance laws, as well as the election file.
"The Parliamentary Legal Committee has continuous meetings in order to resolve a number of important laws, including those related to parliamentary elections, as well as those related to provincial elections," Al-Watifi said in a press interview seen by Taqaddam.
He added, "There are moves towards presenting a number of proposals regarding the election law, which will be matured through discussions between the political parties to reach consensual formulas that increase citizen confidence in the electoral process, so that this will be reflected in the government's performance in the coming period."
And he indicated that "the Legal Committee is also working to resolve the laws of a stage from the previous session, most notably retirement, civil service, health insurance and other laws that affect the life of the citizen."
