Barzani said in a press conference held yesterday, Sunday, to shed light on the course of his visit to Munich, Germany: “The differences and outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad are not of such a large size that it is difficult to resolve.” He added, “The meetings in Munich focused on our situation, and focused more on our relations with Baghdad, which was a main focus in all meetings,” noting that “the international community, in general, wants to help us solve problems between the Kurdistan region and Baghdad.”
He explained, "We have confirmed to all partners that the Kurdistan region supports the Prime Minister and the current government, and wants to resolve differences with Baghdad within the framework of the constitution."
Meanwhile, a government source reported the arrival of a Kurdish delegation representing the Kurdistan Regional Government to Baghdad to negotiate outstanding issues between the two parties.
Earlier, the head of the office of the regional cabinet, Omid Sabah, said in a statement, "With the aim of continuing the meetings between Erbil and the center, we will visit Baghdad as a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government, in order to negotiate outstanding issues between the two sides."
