    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani took advantage of the German foreign minister's presence in Baghdad to obtain a discount of about one-third from the price of the three contracts, which represent the first batch of the strategic contract with Siemens, at a time when these contracts will raise about 8% of the volume of electrical production.
    The signing ceremony took place with the German energy company (Siemens) for the first group of contracts for maintenance and rehabilitation projects for three power generation plants in Iraq, in the presence of the German Foreign Minister and under the supervision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shayaa al-Sudani. gas) to produce electricity.
    According to information obtained by "Baghdad Today", "for the first time, the main German companies that established electric power plants in Iraq in previous years have been signed in order to maintain and sustain them."
    The work of the companies - and also for the first time - will be supervised and monitored by the German government to ensure the full implementation of the contracts concluded, and the signing took place in the presence of the German Foreign Minister.
     
    These contracts will cover the service of the three stations for a period of five years, with a production capacity of up to 1400MW, which helps to sustain work in them and stabilize the production and distribution of energy in them, while the contract was signed between the Iraqi government and the German company (Siemens) with a financial reduction of up to 30%.
     
    Specialists consider that this signature confirms the Iraqi government's seriousness in developing the energy sector in the country by signing agreements with reputable international companies.
