The head of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Representative Rebwar Hadi, called for fixing temporary electoral contract employees on permanent staffing, while stressing the need to include sufficient funds for that under the general budget.

Hadi said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "The Parliamentary Legal Committee has received appeals from multiple parties regarding an important segment, who are the employees of temporary electoral contracts in the Independent High Electoral Commission."

Hadi added, "This segment suffered from great injustice as a result of its inequality with the rest of the contract employees in the state, whom the government installed on permanent staffing earlier."

The head of the Parliamentary Legal Committee referred to "neglecting the segment of temporary electoral contracts, despite their small number, as they do not exceed 3,000 employees, and do not constitute a large percentage compared to others who have contract holders who have been confirmed."

He pointed out, to "the great role played by the holders of temporary electoral contracts in the course of the electoral process and the sobriety of its procedures and the experience gained for them as a result of participation in most of the elections," calling for "to look at them with fairness and work to allocate the sums to confirm their permanent staffing in the general budget law."[/size]
