    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:

The Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, confirmed that his country had submitted a request to Iraq to set up projects in the Samawah desert and is awaiting a response.

Al-Shammari said, in a statement, that "the Kingdom submitted a request to Iraq to establish projects in the Samawah desert through the Ministry of Agriculture, and is awaiting a response to it."

He stressed, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed its willingness to invest in all the provinces of Iraq," noting that "his country provided a loan to Iraq more than 6 years ago, at a value of one billion and 500 million dollars."

He added, "Part of the loan has been invested in building Al-Shirqat Hospital with a capacity of 200 beds, and establishing Silo Babel, and other projects will be financed."

Regarding King Salman Stadium, the Saudi ambassador confirmed, "The Kingdom is waiting for the completion of the procedures in the coming months, and it will announce it soon." [/rtl]
