    Iran's natural gas exports last year amounted to about 19 billion cubic meters, a growth rate of 9 percent, including 9.4 billion cubic meters to Iraq.

    The International Energy Institute presented the statistics on natural gas trade in the world as part of the 72nd annual report of the Statistical Review of World Energy, according to the official [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] news agency.



    This report announced that the total global trade of natural gas through pipelines in 2022 amounted to 718 billion cubic meters. This figure has increased by 2% compared to the previous year. In 2021, about 704 billion cubic meters of natural gas were exported through pipelines in the world.

    Russia is the largest exporter of natural gas via pipelines in 2022, having exported 125 billion cubic meters.
