The regional government begins issuing the electronic passport

{Local: Al Furat News} The Kurdistan Regional Government announced, on Sunday, the start of issuing passports through the electronic system in Erbil.
The Department of Media and Information said in a statement, "This system will provide many facilities to citizens, in addition to the possibility of completing the transaction in one day only."
The Directorate of Passports in Sulaymaniyah had announced earlier to stop issuing passports with the old system and start adopting the new electronic system.
