Blinken: More countries are warning Beijing against using force against Taiwan 77689

    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that many countries are “warning Beijing” of the possibility of using force against Taiwan.[/rtl]

[rtl]Blinken pointed out that "50% of the world's container traffic passes through the Taiwan Strait every day, and if a crisis erupts around Taiwan, a global economic crisis will arise."[/rtl]
[rtl]Blinken said: “In the past year alone, we have witnessed a very significant convergence of views between countries on the issue around the world, whether in the (Asia-Pacific) region or outside it.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained in an interview with "Atlantic" magazine: "50% of the world's container traffic passes through the Taiwan Strait every day, and 70% of semiconductors are produced there... If a crisis erupts around Taiwan due to China's actions, the "global economy will witness complete chaos." .[/rtl]
[rtl]He added: "Washington's attempts to develop a common approach with foreign allies and partners towards China are bearing fruit. For example, Vietnam wants to establish a stronger and more comprehensive partnership with the United States, and relations between Washington and Hanoi are reaching a new and unprecedented level."[/rtl]
[rtl]It is noteworthy that China has increased the pace of maneuvers and air exits in recent months. It stresses that Taiwan is an integral part of its territory, and pledges to regain control over it, by force if necessary.[/rtl]
[rtl]Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed earlier, during his talks with US Presidential Assistant for National Security Jake Sullivan, that the Taiwan issue remains a red line in relations between Washington and Beijing that cannot be crossed.[/rtl]
[rtl]US Army spokesperson Christine Warmuth also said that the military conflict between Washington and Beijing in the Asia-Pacific is not inevitable and can be prevented, which is why the American military establishment must participate in it.[/rtl]
