Today, Saturday, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, warned of an imminent danger that would place the Iraqi economy “on the verge of a demon” if dealing in dollars continued to be limited to finance the state’s needs .
Al-Atwani said in a blog post seen by Al-Ghad Press, “Limiting dealing with the dollar to finance the state’s needs is a dangerous matter. It puts the country’s economy at the hands of a demon, and is much more dangerous than excessive reliance on oil in generating revenues for the country’s general budget. ”
He continued, "The government must move urgently to end this unilateral dealing, and adopt other currencies to achieve economic stability and get rid of hegemony and blackmail
