    The representative of the coordination framework, Ali Al-Jamali, confirmed that there is a tendency within the House of Representatives to continue holding extraordinary sessions in order to amend the Election Commission law, through which the work of the Commission can be extended for the next 6 months to ensure the conduct of the voting process.

    Al-Jamali told Al-Maalouma, “The work of the Election Commission is supposed to end on the seventh of next January, which is something that Parliament seeks to remedy by extending the work of the Commission’s Council.”
    He added, "Parliament representatives continue to submit requests to hold extraordinary sessions despite the end of the legislative term, but there is an urgent need to hold the sessions and for Parliament to continue its work in order to extend the work of the Commission in order to hold the elections."
    He stated that "Parliament is heading towards the second reading of the law amending the Election Commission law with the aim of extending its work for the next 6 months, especially since the government program of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani has stressed the necessity of holding elections." Ended 25 n
