     The supervisor of the customs department of the Iranian province of Kermanshah (bordering Iraq), Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh, announced on Saturday that the first eight months of the current Iranian year (which began on March 21) witnessed the export of 1,882,766 tons of goods from the Parviz port. Khan Al-Hadi border crossing from this governorate towards Iraq, indicating that the value of these exported goods amounted to 659 million 887 thousand and 472 dollars.
    The semi-official Iranian Fars Agency quoted Abbaszadeh as saying that this volume of goods exported from the Parviz Khan port to Iraq recorded an increase of 20 percent in value and 34 percent in weight, compared to the similar period of the previous Iranian year. .
    He added that most of these exported goods are cement, iron paper, fruits and vegetables, galvanized and non-galvanized iron bars, steel alloys and steel paper, all kinds of ceramics, cakes, biscuits and plastic products.
    Abbaszadeh also noted that the Shushmi border crossing with Iraq (also located in Kermanshah Province) witnessed the export of 196,731 tons of goods to Iraq, worth 26 million, 836,323 dollars, during the aforementioned period.
    He continued by saying that most of the goods exported from this border crossing are iron rocks, fruits and vegetables, agricultural tools, handicrafts, plaster, table salt, molasses, and sweets.
