    The Supreme Judicial Council approved, today, Sunday, the basic principles of the draft amendment to the Federal Court Law, during its thirteenth session held today, Sunday, headed by the President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Judge Faiq Zaidan.

    The Council’s media center stated in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, that the latter “held its thirteenth session today, Sunday, 12/24/2023, headed by the President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Judge[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2024733334/%D9%81%D8%A7%D8%A6%D9%82 %D8%B2%D9%8A%D8%AF%D8%A7%D9%86/ar/]Fayeq Zidane[/url]During which it was concluded:

    * The Council congratulated the Chief Public Prosecutor and the Head of the Judicial Supervision Authority for their original appointment to their positions and wished them success and their continuation of the same approach in performing their judicial duty.



    *The Council approved the promotion of a number of judges and members of the Public Prosecution and the granting of judicial positions that require approval of the formations in some of the Presidencies of Appeal in accordance with the proposal submitted by the Presidency of Appeal.

    *The Council discussed a draft amendment[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3800408013/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A7/ar/]Federal Supreme Court Law[/url]The basic principles of the draft amendment were approved and the articles included in the amendment were re-examined for discussion in the next session.
