Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Monday (December 25, 2023), that the government is keen to communicate with all components in Iraq, during his visit to Christian families in Baghdad to join them in celebrating Christmas .
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement, received by “Baghdad Today,” that “Al-Sudani visited families of the Christian community in the capital, Baghdad, and joined them in celebrating the glorious Christmas holidays, offering congratulations to all the members of our honorable Iraqi people in general, and the Christians in particular on this occasion.” The blessed occasion .”
Al-Sudani stated, “Christians are the salt of the earth, and an integral component of our country and our people, and they contributed to building the state,” stressing that “the presence of Christians in Iraq is a factor of strength for the country, expressing his pride in all segments of the Iraqi people,” according to the statement .
The Prime Minister affirmed, according to the statement, that “the government is keen to communicate with all components in Iraq, especially our Christian people, to participate in their celebrations of this noble occasion,” noting that he attended Christmas Mass last year, and that not attending Mass this year was due to an incident.
