Today, Saturday, Iraqi politician Saleh al-Mutlaq said that the American occupation came to target the Sunnis in Iraq, and while he pointed out that the Sunnis were the first to fight the occupation and paid great sacrifices as a result, he stated that Iran and America were the ones who created ISIS, believing at the same time that the regime The current politician is ineffective and Iraq will not advance with his presence.

Al-Mutlaq said in an interview with Al-Mukhtazil program broadcast on Al-Sumaria TV, “The sons of politicians are now in diplomatic missions and represent Iraq abroad.”

*The fall of the previous regime
. He considered that “Iraq’s position on Palestine prompted the overthrow of the previous regime, as Israel played a major role in that,” pointing out that the United States of America was determined to overthrow the Iraqi regime and used the Iraqi opposition as justification and a tool to provide it with some information on the basis that it was coming from the Iraqis. “Noting that there was no real opposition to the previous regime.”

He added, "The American occupation came to specifically target Sunnis and Sunni areas in Iraq," considering that "the events of September 11 made Washington believe that Sunni political Islam was behind this attack and they linked Al-Qaeda as Sunni, even though these organizations occupied Sunni areas first."

    *Resistance
Al-Mutlaq indicated that he was supportive of “the resistance that confronted the occupation and refused to confront any Iraqi,” explaining that “the Sunnis were the first to start fighting the occupation and paid great sacrifices, and this was the real resistance.”

He also believed that "the current American presence is not considered an occupation because the government was the one who invited them to be present."

He pointed out that "the resistance must be in harmony with the government. When the government classifies the foreign presence as an occupation, resistance must be done here, but when the government that was born from the womb of the factions considers the foreign presence a supportive presence, then the targeting operations must stop."

    *The making of ISIS
With regard to the making of ISIS, the Iraqi politician explained that “America and Iran were partners in the making of this organization, as the former had an interest in what happened in the region, while Tehran cooperated in one way or another with Al-Qaeda and trained its members under the slogan of resistance.” ".

He stated, "Iran benefited from the presence of ISIS through its penetration into Iraq and expansion toward the western provinces."

*The presence of factions in western Iraq.
Al-Mutlaq also touched on the issue of the presence of factions close to Iran in western Iraq, and stressed that they are “the ones now with influence in the western regions.”

He stressed that "it is not in the interest of Iraq and Iran for a difference to occur between the two countries, so I call on them to change the world's view of them by acting in another way."

He also saw, “Iran contributed to throwing the sectarian issue in Iraq under the carpet, and if it were not for this issue, there would be no problems between us and them.”

He continued, "The Sunni community has not and will not adapt to the Popular Mobilization Forces present in its areas because of their unacceptable behavior," adding, "In the last elections, whoever owns a tribal or popular Mobilization Forces won because the existing element is forced to bring 10 members of his family or else he will be expelled from the party." The crowd."

He revealed a meeting he had with the former leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, indicating that he expressed some objections to him interfering in Iraqi affairs. The Iranian leader responded during the meeting, “but after the meeting, nothing changed.”

He continued: "The man (Soleimani) contributed to some battles, but if we reduce the issue to the Iranian side, this is not true. The Iraqi society fought the fight of heroes, and the international coalition played an important role in defeating ISIS, especially in the intelligence and air force aspect."

    *Generational displacement.
Al-Mutlaq said, “The first to raise the issue of generational displacement were the Americans, followed by the Shiite political Islam parties who worked on the issue and tried to bring in people who would ‘trouble their lives,’ as they wanted to get rid of the first political generation.”

    *Maliki’s fellowship
and regarding the days he spent with Nouri al-Maliki (the former prime minister said that he did not long for those days because they were “all students,” but he also pointed out that Al-Maliki “has the ability to be firm and make difficult decisions, and we both made mistakes against each other.”

He went on to say: “The al-Maliki that I know at the present time is different from the previous al-Maliki... and if he rules now, we will benefit a lot from him and his role will be positive.”

He considered, “The current political system is ineffective and Iraq will not advance with its presence, and change is necessary.”

    *The Sunni House
and Al-Mutlaq noted He pointed out that “Muhammad Al-Halbousi (the former Speaker of Parliament) made achievements in Anbar Governorate despite some observations, but the people, because of the injustice that befell them, saw in these achievements what was good and were satisfied with Al-Halbousi.”

He stated, “Al-Halbousi’s situation now is better than before, and the Federal Court’s decision against him created sympathy for him,” stressing that “those who removed him were Shiite politicians who felt he was a threat to them,” adding: “Those currently in the political class have dozens of mistakes that go beyond Al-Halbousi’s mistake.”

He pointed out that "the Sunni community is now in a critical situation. There are those who worked to bring the Sunni situation to this point."

    * Accountability and Justice
Al-Mutlaq concluded by saying that “the Accountability and Justice Law targeted patriotism and should have been repealed a long time ago, noting that there are patriotic Baathists,” considering that “it is difficult under the current circumstances for the return of the Baath Party,” revealing that “some Sunni leaders continue to And the Shiites are with Izzat al-Douri.”
