Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani said on Monday that US intervention in Iraq has only destabilized security and inflamed sectarianism, pointing out that the United States was forced to withdraw from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
"We celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran by the failure of policies aimed at destabilizing the region, and this is not the first time that the United States has imposed," Shamkhani said in a speech at the opening of the International Forum on Defense and Security Policies and Cooperation Approaches. The ban on Iran, as former US President Barack Obama resorted to negotiations with Iran when he came to the conviction of the failure of the embargo imposed on them.
He added that "when the United States failed to control Iraq, fueled sectarian war and then created a preacher," asserting that "the intervention of the United States in Iraq has only resulted in the destabilization of security in this country."
Shamkhani said that "the United States had no choice but to withdraw from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria," noting that "Syrian President Bashar al-Assad remained in power because the Syrian people want to stay." Ending / 25
