Today, Friday (May 3, 2024), Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi confirmed that the Social Security Law is an important lever for the economy by activating the private sector.
Al-Asadi said in a television interview followed by "Baghdad Today", "The labor law was amended last year, and the retirement and workers' security law is one of the most important laws that were legislated as it focuses on supporting the private sector and easing the government sector."
He added, "Supporting the private sector has become the primary concern of everyone thinking about finding realistic solutions for the Iraqi economy to find solutions to the financial liquidity crisis."
He continued by saying: "All countries of the world have put in place mechanisms for how to support the private sector, and it was the lever that contributed to raising their entire economy. Therefore, in Iraq, the private sector must be supported."
