The Minister of Labor approves the preparation of designs for complementary business projects to establish roles and departments for the Ministry in the governorates
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Assadi, approved the preparation of designs for complementary works projects to establish homes for the care of orphans and the elderly and divisions affiliated with the Ministry’s departments and agencies in the governorates.
During a meeting chaired by the Minister of the Ministry’s Contracts Committee on Thursday, May 30, 2024, the new projects that the Ministry intends to implement in the governorates were discussed, including the establishment of labor and social protection departments, as well as the establishment of an orphanage in Anbar Governorate, and two homes for orphans and the elderly in Wasit Governorate.
Mr. Al-Asadi stressed the importance of expediting contracts with reputable companies, and according to the best bids to complete these projects, pointing out that he directed the Social Protection and Disability Care bodies to follow up on the rehabilitation work of their departments, and that the work of completing and rehabilitating buildings should take into account health and safety conditions and procedures, and provide Suitable places to receive citizens visiting those departments.
