Today, Friday, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, directed the Parliamentary Finance Committee to expedite the final review of all items in the budget law schedules for the year 2024, sent by the government.
A statement from the media office of the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, received by Al-Eqtisad News, stated that “Al-Mandalawi stressed the necessity of completing the vote on these tables during the next session, especially since they greatly affect the citizen’s need,” stressing that “the next Monday session will be set as the date for approving them.”
Al-Mandalawi called on the Finance Committee to “finally and carefully review all tables of revenues, expenditures and allocations, determine the deficit rates and ways to reduce them, and prepare a comprehensive report that will be presented to the House of Representatives for a vote, including all the observations that accompanied the 2023 budget.”
