    Baghdad today - Babylon
Today, Sunday (June 2, 2024), Representative Amir Al-Mamouri revealed what he called the strangest investments in Iraq, while indicating the lack of economic feasibility of these investments.
Al-Mamouri said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "Investment is an important part of reviving the economy and a necessity to move to principles that contribute to improving services, providing opportunities, and creating complementarity, but the most important thing is that it be built according to paths that achieve economic feasibility, that is, a financial return in addition to improving the services file." .
He added, "Investing in laboratories for people about to get married in Babylon and other governorates is the strangest, given that we were informed of its details," pointing out that the investor brought equipment valued at 30 million dinars while tracking the building, the medical staff, and the rest of the means of support to the Ministry of Health, wondering what the point is. Does the investment pay the wages of the crew or the building at least?
Al-Maamouri pointed out that “putting up such files for investment without economic benefit, defined by points, means a loss for the ministry, and the only winner is the investor who spent millions in exchange for wages, a portion of which he gets in large proportions.” He pointed out that the Ministry of Health is able to bring advanced devices not only in the file of those about to get married, but even Other analyzes and therefore the possibility that this will lead to reducing financial costs to citizens at high levels.”
Al-Mamouri called for "the need to conduct a review of investments and that they must be of economic feasibility and vision, accompanied by the level of services in all sectors without exception."
