    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed, on Tuesday, the continuation of addressing the problems facing the outskirts of Baghdad, while directing field follow-up of service projects in the Al-Ma’amel area. 
    The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani received a group of notables and representatives of Al-Zawraa District (formerly Al-Ma’amil District), southeast of Baghdad.”

    The statement added, “Al-Sudani welcomed the local delegation, and also praised the efforts of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, in following up on the service conditions of Al-Zawraa District, and listened to the attendees’ proposals and highlighted the most prominent service problems that the district suffers from and proposals for treatment,” stressing, “the importance of holding these meetings and visits.” Ongoing, in order for the official to listen to the citizen, and also to inform the citizen about the programs and problems, the responsibility is shared,” and he stressed, “the importance of informing citizens about service contexts and respecting the sanctity of streets, sidewalks, and public spaces.”

    The Prime Minister affirmed, “his full knowledge of the service and living details, and the suffering of citizens in the outskirts of Baghdad,” noting, “the government continues to prepare and prepare for the new cities and the ring road linking the outskirts of Baghdad, and all projects that improve the reality of the Al-Ma’amel area, as part of the outskirts that have suffered from neglect.” For decades.” 

    The Prime Minister explained, “The uncalculated and uncontrolled expansion requires double services, and it is part of the electricity problem that the citizen faces today,” and stated, “Baghdad and its outskirts need hospitals that contain the large population expansion,” stressing, “The government’s plans to establish hospitals.” It covers the actual need of the outskirts of Baghdad, despite attempts to obstruct completion, including the burning of a hospital project, which was an active act.”

    Al-Sudani pointed out, “The lagging projects that have affected the parties, most of which are service projects, and their survival constitutes a waste of public money,” stressing, “The Al-Ma’amel area (Al-Zawraa District) falls within the challenges that the government is facing to change the service reality, and the environmental situation there is a priority, and we are working We must speed up procedures to find solutions to it, with an emphasis on constructing school buildings, which is among the government’s priorities.”

    The Prime Minister directed, “to form a working team to follow up on the implementation of service projects in Al-Zawraa district, as well as to find radical solutions to the sanitary landfill file,” and he also directed, “to hold the meeting again every 3 months, in order to review the completed projects and service files.”
