The Ministry of Construction and Housing, on Sunday, adopting the mechanism of customs in preventing the entry of cement imported into the country.
The ministry said in a statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it today, that "Undersecretary Aestbrq thorns stressed the need to adopt Altsrihh customs mechanism and coordination between the General Administration of Customs and the General Authority for border ports to develop a mechanism to install the types, quantities and dates of entry of cement, including the Kurdistan region , as well as coordination with the Office of financial supervision and the recommendation to prevent the entry of any kind of cement only after an apology State Company for Iraqi cement State in the Ministry of Industry with the placement of all quantities of cement to quality control procedures. "
He pointed thorns according to the statement that "a meeting of the joint operations room to follow to prevent the entry of cement imported to Iraq discussed a number of important topics that included display decisions that have been taken by the Council of Ministers concerning the protection of the national product [cement]."
He pointed out that "The meeting stressed take action regarding national protection product [cement], as well as take the necessary measures to prevent the entry of cement imported through border ports in furtherance of the national production of cement and the positive results by the application of decisions prevent the entry of cement imported issued by the Council of Ministers."
He added that "the agent touched at the meeting also the report of the committee formed by the General Company for Iraqi Cement to check the amounts of cement entering the country on an informal basis, in addition to discussing the position of the General Administration of Customs on the amounts of cement importer and those imported by their types."
It is noteworthy that the committee is overseen by the agent and the general managers of each of the [State Company for Iraqi Cement, the General Authority for border ports, the General Administration of Customs, the General Company for Iraqi trade shows and services.
The Cabinet may prevent the import of cement by Resolution No. [409] for the year 2015, which reintroduced the resolution 215 of 2013.
