Earth News/ The General Authority of Customs announced, today, Tuesday, that it has taken new measures to prevent fraud and forgery in the procedures for entering goods through border crossings.
In a statement received by Earth News, the authority stated that, “in order to prevent forgery and manipulation of permits for the entry of goods through the border ports, the authority stipulated obtaining a valid letter issued by the Ministry of Transport and from the sea, land and air ports that support the validity of the issuance of the entry of goods, and the delivery order where the The Ministry of Transport addresses the customs to confirm the arrival of the goods, and then the customs answers to the central bank.”
The statement added that it is "a new and advanced mechanism to eliminate manifestations of corruption through manipulation and forgery by some weak-minded people, as well as preventing forgery of permits for the entry of these goods," stressing that it is "measures adopted by the new administration, which included a series of strict and unprecedented measures in line with the nature of the government's approach to protect National economy".
