[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq Ambassador to Roma, Siwan Barzani participated in the yearly General Assembly meeting for FAO Organization that was held on last Tuesday in Rome within a delegation headed by the Agriculture Minister, Izzuldinne al-Dawla.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by the Foreign Ministry reported “The Minister stressed in his speech Iraq’s eagerness to activate the organization’s activities and take part in its regional and international actions.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“The Iraqi side reviewed during the conference, the agriculture and food situation in Iraq and the government’s steps in increasing the agricultural and animal production and addressing the desertification and the immigration from the countryside to the cities,” the statement added.[/ltr]
