    [rtl]Deputy Speaker of Parliament Aram Sheikh Mohammed, on Friday, that the postponement of the elections for provincial councils is unjustified and does not serve the political process.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Sheikh Mohammed said in a statement: "Sky Press," that "received a postponement of provincial elections and merged with the elections of the House of Representatives is not justified and would adversely affect the functioning of the democratic process and the peaceful transfer of power and lead to an uncertain future for the joints of the state."[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He expressed "rejection of this approach because delay would weaken service institutions and their legitimacy, and generates a state of disappointment for voters who are waiting for the date of elections for their representatives in local governments through the ballot box."[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]"The postponement of the elections and the lack of commitment to legal and constitutional deadlines without convincing reasons, inevitably affect the prestige of the executive institutions in the provinces and does not serve the stability of the political process, and this is unacceptable and can not accept it."[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He stressed the seriousness of the delay because it is "a step is both positive and negative message to the Iraqi voters wrong and tradition in the democratic process and the mechanisms of their election funds."[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The Independent Electoral Commission said on Thursday that the three presidencies decided to postpone the governorates not organized elections to the province in 2017.[/rtl]
