"The rulers of Saudi Arabia have exceeded the limits of audacity." Iran responds to Al-Jubeir's remarks

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi responded to statements made by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, claiming that his country's influence in the region is "historic and will remain" in an apparent justification for Iranian interference.
"Iran has an ancient civilization and its cultural borders are far from its geographical borders; its self-influence in the region is historic and will remain" in order to bring peace and security, "Qasimi said.
He added that "the rulers of Saudi Arabia exceeded the limits of audacity ... Everyone knows any country; it is the main source of terrorism and extremism," accusing the Kingdom of closing all political initiatives to resolve crises in the region, including the crisis in Yemen.
"Al-Jubair speaks only in the language of bombs, fire and violence with the Yemeni people, who are suffering from siege and famine," the official said.
Al-Jubeir, who accompanied Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his visit to Washington, said in a speech at the Brookings Institution for Research that Iran supports terrorism, is involved in the assassination of Saudi diplomats and is behind bombings inside the kingdom.
