    The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks and Sam Fattouh for convening a meeting, "the secretaries-general of the associations and federations of banks in the world", at the invitation of the Union of Arab Banks and hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the auspices of the Central Bank of Bahrain on 24 April next year.

    He said Fattouh said in a statement that "this meeting will be invited to him in addition to the unions that represent major banking conglomerates in the world, secretaries-general of the associations and federations of banks in each of: the Middle East and North Africa, the European Union, China, Africa, the UK, United States the US, and the major ASEAN such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, "adding that the meeting would be" a link between the commercial banks and the central banks of the world's societies, stressing that "the associations of banks, a key role in protecting the banking sector, which is the engine of advancement and stability in their countries."

    He pointed out that "will raise the recommendations reached by the participants in a worksheet formula, to the summit of the Arab banking dialogue the US - on correspondent banking, which is organized by the Union in New York in the Central Bank of the US Federal headquarters in October. Will also send copies of these recommendations to major global organizations such as the international Monetary Fund and the Basel Committee and the FATF, the financial stability board. "

    He pointed out that "the meeting will discuss the banking cross-border relations and relations of correspondents, and the barriers and regulations that they face, as well as topics related to the reduction of risk and its impact on banking relations and the economy, the global economy in a state of uncertainty, banking and Islamic finance, and other topics. They will also discuss in the areas of cooperation between the Arab and regional banks associations, and the American, European and Asian, and looks forward Federation to hold this meeting on an annual basis, to host an Arab or foreign countries, with the formation of the board of Trustees of the associations and banking associations in the world, the first tasks to strengthen cooperation between the Arab and international banking conglomerates. "
