    Today, Wednesday, the Local Union of Agricultural Cooperative Societies in Karbala, and the branch of the General Company for Grain Trade (the silo) in the governorate discussed the mechanism of marketing the wheat crop for the upcoming 2022 harvest.
    This came during a meeting at the local union building, the director of the company’s branch, Muhammad Hassan Dahi, with the head of the local union, Walid Hamad Al-Karaiti, in the presence of a number of members of the executive office of the local union, in addition to the presence of the head of the sub-union of the center’s judiciary, Jassem Abdul Ali Asri Al-Masoudi, and a member of the aforementioned sub-union.
    In an interview with Al-Nabaa Agency, Walid Hamad Al-Kuraiti, head of the local union of agricultural cooperative societies in Karbala, said, "During the meeting, we discussed the directives of the Ministry of Trade regarding organizing a joint report with the agricultural societies and the Directorate of Agriculture of Karbala for the number of cars that are sent by the agricultural people to centers Delivery and finding a mechanism so that there is a flow in the marketing process of the (wheat) crop for this season.”
    Al-Kuraiti added, "As well as discussing the problems that will face marketing for the next stage and organizing the receiving process, as well as our request to the director of (the silo) to convey our voice to the Ministry of Commerce by addressing the Ministry of Finance to release the financial dues for the higher ranks of the (wheat) crop."
    The head of the sub-union announced that the Karbala governorate has completed receiving all the financial dues for the (wheat) crop for the previous agricultural season (2021), and nothing of the amounts will remain in the ministry’s custody except for the aforementioned financial dues, revealing an upcoming meeting that will be held soon regarding the Higher Committee of the (Harvest) campaign. ) represented by the governor and all members of the committee, and the meeting will be held in the governorate office in order to study the obstacles and problems related to the marketing process and what follows them and work to make the process of high flow to receive the crop from farmers and farmers.
