President Vladimir Putin said after meeting his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rowhani in Moscow that the two sides discussed the supply of passenger aircraft "Sukhoi Sobergt -100" and civilian helicopters to Iran.
President Putin said: "During the talks discussed ways to expand cooperation in the field of mechanisms and civil aviation industry. The agenda includes the possibility of supplying "Sukhoi Sobergt -100" modern medium-range aircraft, to Iran in addition to the helicopters to meet the needs of the air ambulance. "
Previously, the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, announced that, last December, a program for the sale of passenger type "Sukhoi Super Jet 100" Russian planes to Iran.
It is noteworthy here that "Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft," is a Russian civilian passenger plane dedicated to short distances can accommodate up to 98 passengers, and fly up to 4.4 thousand kilometers. The aircraft carried out the first flight in the month of May / May 2008.
