Maliki for chairmanship of Shiite National Alliance

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Parliamentary Badr Bloc confirmed that there is a political agreement that head of the State of Law Nouri al-Maliki will chair the Shiite National Alliance to replace Ammar al-Hakeem, head of the Higher Islamic Council.
MP Abdul Hussein al-Zeirjawi disclosed that before one year it was agreed that the chairmanship of the National Alliance will be given to Nouri al-Maliki, provided that the change of the chairmanship should be annually and on rotative basis among the members of the Alliance.
Earlier, al-Hakeem called the political blocs of the Alliance to start selecting a replacement for the chairmanship of the Alliance.
No comment was made by other blocs, including the State of
