Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of the Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, condemned the terrorist explosions which took place in Baghdad and other Iraqi provinces and resulted in killing and wounding many innocent people.Nijaifi reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”We strongly condemn the terrorist explosions and the cowardly attacks that targeted the Iraqi people who were celebrating Eid al-Fitr,” stressing that ”He expressed his surprise by the retarded security situation though all the promises made by security officials regarding security plans dedicated for Eid al-Fitr.””We demand the security leaders to take a responsible serious attitude by accelerating professional procedures and activating intelligence efforts to start an intensive real campaign in order to preserve lives of Iraqi people and protect their properties,” he added.Nijaifi expressed ”His deep sorrow and consolation for families of martyrs due to these terrorist operations, hoping the recovery for wounded people.””The terrorist blasts resulted in killing a security element and a civilian while (28) persons were wounded, (15) of them left the hospitals due to their light injuries, according to the Ministry of Health,” he pointed out. \END\
