Najaf - Iraq Press - May 5: Najaf police department denied the existence of a US air strike near Najaf International Airport.
Najaf police department said in a statement that "Najaf police department denies the lies and rumors that were transmitted by some social networking sites about the presence of an American air landing near Najaf International Airport," stressing that "Najaf is safe and stable and no validity of any air landing or Military aircraft in all geographical boundaries of the province. "
Najaf police called on everyone to "not transfer rumors and lies promoted by some of the weak souls," asserting that "will be subject to legal accountability of all who broadcast false news and circulating malicious rumors."
Najaf police thanked the "all the people of the province and their support and cooperation with the security services that are working to protect the security of the Najafi citizen and to maintain his comfort and preserve public and private property," according to the statement. Finished
