said German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Europe could no longer "rely entirely" on the United States and Britain after the election of Donald Trump and vote in favor of the British exit from the European Union.

Merkel said she would like to have friendly relations with the two countries along with Russia, but stressed that Europe had to "struggle for self."

The comments came after the US president refused, during a summit of the Group of Seven, emphasizing the commitment to the Paris Convention for the climate reached in 2015.

Merkel is locked in a propaganda campaign for the parliamentary elections scheduled to take place in September / September next.

Addressing an election rally in Munich, southern Germany, Merkel said "the times in which we were able to rely entirely on the other deceased. This has faced in the last few days. "

And it considered that it was necessary to give priority to the relationship with Germany's new French president Emmanuel shifty, adding that by saying, "We Europeans, we have to decide our own destiny."

On Saturday, Merkel described the talks on climate during the Group of Seven summit as "very unsatisfactory".

And re-Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan leaders reaffirmed their support for the Paris Convention, but Trump said he would take a decision after a week.
