Rejection of US base at Iraqi-Syrian borders

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Parliamentary Security and Defence Commission rejected the move of the International Coalition, under Washington's leadership, to build military bases inside Iraq to support Syrian armed groups, including the Free Army.
Member of the Commission Muwafaq al-Rubai'i pointed that Iraq has its "sovereignty and will not permit to any foreign country to build bases inside its territories", stressing that a "building such bases means the return of terrorism, which matter we will not accept".
Press reports disclosed today the completion of a military base at the Iraqi-Syrian borders to support the Syrian Free Army.
