Al-Jubouri to the French Ambassador: Iraq looks forward to a distinguished role for Paris in the reconstruction of cities

Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri said on Wednesday that Iraq aspires to play a prominent role in the reconstruction of the liberated areas of the organization calling for the terrorist.
A statement issued by the parliament's president, Mawazine News, said: "Jubouri received at his office on Wednesday the Ambassador of the French Republic to Iraq Marc Barbete and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq. And issues of common interest and developments of the Iraqi scene, in addition to bilateral relations between Iraq and France and the prospects for strengthening in various areas.
"Iraq is looking forward to France playing a special role in the reconstruction of the liberated areas of the terrorist gangs," Jabouri said, stressing that the need to increase international support for Iraq in its war against terrorism.
The speaker appreciated the efforts of the French ambassador during his tenure in Iraq and his role in expanding the relations between the two countries and the importance of both sides to develop them in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
For his part, Ambassador Barretti, according to the statement, said that "his country is keen to strengthen the framework of cooperation with Iraq, and to continue military and humanitarian support, as well as the contribution of French companies in the reconstruction of some liberated areas."
