The Arab League looks forward to continuing the positive role of Iraq in the region

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Sunday praised the positive role played by Iraq in the region, stressing the aspiration of the League to continue that role.
A statement from the office of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a copy of him that "Abadi met at his residence in Munich the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, where they discussed the situation in the region and the crisis in Syria and the importance of activating the role of the university to achieve security and stability of the Arab countries, Interventions in the affairs of States and the choices of their peoples ".
Abadi stressed Iraq's support for the Arab League, calling for "strengthening its role in stopping conflicts and crises and their repercussions on the countries of the region and safeguarding the supreme interests of our countries and peoples."
Aboul Gheit praised the success of Iraq and the wise vision of Haidar al-Abadi in Iraq's victory and unity and maintaining the cohesion of its people and the positive role it plays in the region. Ending /
