Shafaq News / The parliamentary tribes committee said on Friday that it has not officially been sure about an invitation from the Saudi prince to a number of Iraq's tribal leaders to attend a meeting in Riyadh, indicating that if the invitation was true, then it is considered one of the "conspiracy" pages against Iraq.

“We have heard there is an invitation from the Saudi prince for a number of tribal elders to visit Saudi Arabia, but we didn’t make sure yet from the accuracy of the news," The decision maker of the committee, Mohammed al-Sayhood told “Shafaq News”.

Al-Sayhood predicted that Iraqi tribes won’t meet the call, but he added "if the invitation has been accepted, participants will not represent any clan or party, but they will represent themselves only."

Iraqi - Saudi Arabia relations still suffer from many intersections despite Iraq's declaration of seeking to consolidate its relations with neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Iraq accused in past years, Saudi Arabia of allowing its religious men of issuing fatwas against certain sects in Iraq, turning a blind eye to militants.
