    Baghdad (NINA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussain al-Shahristani, discussed with Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Jawad Zarif, cooperation between Iraq and Iran in the field of energy.

    A statement issued on Sunday, Sep. 8, by Shahristani's Office said that the two touched on the upcoming talks between Iran and the 5+1 concerning Iran's nuclear issue and Iraq's readiness to provide required help in this regards.

    For his part, Iran's Foreign Minister stressed his country's desire to consolidate friendship and cooperation between the two countries on all fields.

    Shahristani extended an invitation to Iran's ministers of Oil and Electricity to visit Iraq to develop cooperation between the two countries. / End.
